Getting Around the City
Montreal has an excellent public transit system. It is safe and fast, and you can get almost anywhere with it.
Weather in Montreal
For visitors to the city, the weather in Montreal can be very strange. It is very hot in the summer, very cold in the winter.
Health
For Medical Emergencies, call 9-1-1. This number is for ambulance, fire, police, poison, or any other emergency.
French Words
In Montreal, you will hear many languages, but this is the second largest French-speaking city in the world (after Paris).
Money
Coins and Paper Money Canada uses the dollar for its currency. Paper money comes in $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills.
Food in Quebec
Montreal is a great food city, full of excellent restaurants, and food from all over the world.

Montreal is a great shopping city. There are dozens of shopping centres and interesting shopping streets.
